I 1Sg Penn went to Basic Training at Fort Knox Kentucky, my duty MOS at that time was 19D (Calvary Scout). I was station at Fort Ord California, (Light Infantry Division). I changed my MOS to 11B (Infantry). I then went to Drill Sergeant School at Fort Jackson South Carolina. I was called for duty as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Knox Kentucky, under the umbrella of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I since than became a First Sergeant, changing my MOS to 12B (Combat Engineer), and still living the dream. Helping Veterans was a key trait that was taught to me a long time ago by some great men and women who have served their country with honors. There are a lot of issues that are facing Veterans in the Military and out the Military.
I hope this website is a handy tool to help you with some of the information that you will need going forward.
I will be retiring soon. (11/85 - 08/25).
